RAH-66Strait of Hormuz26°54′N 56°10′E
Terrain Mask
Fly a stealth attack helicopter low through real terrain, in a war that runs on its own clock.
Windows · Release date to be announced
Contours: the strait's elevation, from the game's own map data
Fly low. Stay hidden.
Terrain masking is how attack helicopters survive: keep a hill between you and the radar, pop up, fire, and drop back down. Terrain Mask is built around it, on maps made from the real ground.
-
Real ground to hide behind
Eight theatres built from real elevation, sea-floor and land-cover data, with OpenStreetMap roads, ports and towns where they really are. The terrain is your cover: drop below the ridge line and the radar loses you.
-
A war on its own clock
Every theatre has a dynamic war: brigades, ferries, air strikes and supply, fought hour by hour on the real map. Every six hours of war time you pick sorties against what has been seen, and what you destroy is gone from the war.
-
Three cockpits, modelled
The RAH-66 Comanche stealth scout, a heavy attack helicopter with a gunner and a naval attack helicopter with a copilot. Each has its own cockpit: head-up display, three multifunction screens and lamps that dim at night.
-
Stick, throttle, collective, pedals
Fly with keyboard and mouse, an Xbox controller, or a flight stick, HOTAS, collective lever and rudder pedals, up to four devices at once, read directly. Rebind every control and tune every axis.
-
Co-op for two
Host a mission or a war sortie and fly it with a friend through Steam: one briefing, two aircraft, a shared debrief.
-
Weather and night
Golden hour, dusk, and nights with moon phases and lit towns. Rain squalls, thunderstorms with lightning, and dust-storm fronts you can see coming. Night-vision goggles and a thermal sight are part of the cockpit.
